The Board and the University Collegium
The Board is the highest decision-making organ of the University. The University Collegium decides the number of Board members, elects those Board members who do not represent university personnel or students, and determines the length of the term of office of the Board and its members.
The Rector represents the University, executes decisions of the Board and leads the Universtiy's activities. He ensurse the economical, effective and profitable management of the University's missions.
According to the University of Turku Rules of Procedure, the Chancellor shall promote science and the University's social interaction as well as to supervise the University's common good and activities and that good scientific practices are followed.
